Looks like I am the first one to post info: I am Prof. Robert Bloomfield at Cornell University, and interested in any efforts to publish reliable, consistent and meaninful data on virtual worlds, which will aid the goals of interoperability and helping the metaverse grow.

Btw: I think that your wish for data could be provided using existing Web 2.0 standards. Any virtual world will have a component that is "service-like" and can use HTTP/XML, and that should be able to give you the necessary data to aggregate.
